Our good friends and Anne’s cousin Alison and her husband Luigi took our cosy campervan Bertie to Norfolk last week. Having travelled from Ormskrik near Liverpool, the couple relished the chance to have a week-long break.
They certainly chose the right week for it. In the UK, the weather at the start of last week was hot. Perfect to explore the beaches of Norfolk. The main area they stayed at was Wells-next-the-Sea. The dune lined beach is regarded by some as the best beach in Norfolk. You can also rent out a beach hut there too.
As for the actual town of Wells-next-the-Sea, there is plenty to see. Boasting a picturesque harbour, activities such as crabbing and fishing are a must try. Alison and Luigi commented on the great history of the town. The Granary and its distinct design played part in the industrial revolution of the early 1900s. It supplied malt to Europe and the south of England. Clearly the town is steeped in British culture.
As for the camping itself, Alison and Luigi loved their stay at Pinewoods. Located next to Wells Beach, Pinewoods offers a selection of static caravans and motorhome pitches. In addition, the site is next to the Holkham National Nature Reserve. There is plenty natural environment to absorb here.
Alison and Luigi enjoyed how cosy campervan Bertie was. Luigi mentioned that he had never slept better while on a camping trip. It was lights out as soon as his head hit the pillow. So, if you’re worried about how comfortable our vans are, you shouldn’t!
Summer is now coming to a close, and we stop service at the end of October. However, if you want to book until then, we have availability. Alternatively, looking forward, why not book ahead for summer in 2022?
